Members who need to submit additional documents to complete their Sharing Account activation may do so via the Member Care Portal. The steps below outline how to find the identity verification post and upload the requested documents.
Finding the Identity Verification Post in the ShareStream
The best and easiest way to find the post in the ShareStream is to filter by post type.
- Log into the Member Care Portal
- At the top of the ShareStream, to the right of the General Inquiry post box, click on the funnel icon
- In the Post Types drop-down, scroll down to select only “Identity Verification”
- Click “Apply”
- Note: If the post type does not appear, expand the date box to 6 months or 12 months in the Date drop-down.
The Identity Verification post will appear at the top of the ShareStream
Uploading Requested Documents in the Member Care Portal
After an initial manual review of the documents submitted during Sharing Account activation (part of the new Membership enrollment application process), Solidarity may need additional documents to verify your identity. The request for these additional documents will appear as a COMMENT to the original Identity Verification post in the ShareStream in the Member Care Portal. After locating the Identity Verification post type, upload the requested documents using the "Upload Link" found in the comment on the post.
- To upload the documents, click on the Comment on the post
- Read the comment to determine what additional information is needed
- Click “Upload Link” to upload the documents
Upload the requested documents to the appropriate section.
- If the document request is for address verification or name change, click on the dropdown to the right of “Additional Documents” to show those sections.
Name change and address change documents can be uploaded in the expanded upload wizard.
- After the documents are uploaded, click Submit.
The documents will go back for review. If additional documents are still needed, a new COMMENT will appear on the same post. Keep an eye on this post until no more document requests are needed.
Once the identity verification process is complete, a new COMMENT will appear on the original Identity Verification post to confirm the outcome.
