How to Sign Up as a New Patron Group

Congratulations on making the decision to offer an affordable, ethical healthcare option to your employees! We're excited to take these next steps with you.

 

To register your business as a Patron Group, please contact our Member Development Team  at (844) 313-499, option 1, to request our Patron Center Walk-Through Guide. The registration is easy to use and takes about 10 minutes to complete once you’ve gathered all the necessary information. 

Here are the steps involved:

  1. Create the Group Account. This is typically an employer or organization facilitating the funding of Monthly Contributions for their employees or religious community. This can also be an individual if someone wants to fund the Monthly Contributions on behalf of other Members.

Note: If an individual is creating a Group Account, they will need to put their Social Security Number into the Company EIN field.

  1. Designate your Authorized Representative. This is the person who will be the main point of contact for your Group Account with Solidarity HealthShare, even if they are not the one managing the day-to-day operation of the Group. If you are an employer, we recommend that you designate the person in charge of employee benefits at your organization, such as an HR Director.
  1. Create your Group and Add a Group Facilitator. In most cases, there will only be one Group of employees or members for which the Patron is facilitating the Monthly Contribution funding. If you have more than one Group, additional Groups may be created once the registration is complete. Once your Group is created, you may add a Group Facilitator, a second person that has access to the Group and can manage adding and removing Members from the Group and update payment information.

Note:  Each Group Facilitator will only be able to view and edit the Group they are assigned to, but the Authorized Representative can view and edit all Groups under their Group Account.

  1. Review Declarations & Disclosures. The final step is to sign that you understand and agree to the Patron Center declarations and disclosures. You will then be directed to the login page to log into your new Patron Center Group Account.

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR PATRON GROUPS

  • For employers, the direct funding of Monthly Contributions is not permitted. Employers may publicize Solidarity to its workforce and facilitate post-tax payroll deductions from participating employees’ compensation. For all employers with 50 or more full-time equivalent employees, the employer must continue to offer some type of healthcare coverage that qualifies as “minimum essential coverage” to at least 95% of its full-time employees to avoid penalties under the Affordable Care Act.
  • Please also know that Solidarity is not an insurance company nor does it provide insurance policies. Participation in Solidarity is completely voluntary.
  • Please also know that not all your group’s members will be eligible to join Solidarity. Please review the Solidarity Healthshare Sharing Guidelines or contact Solidarity with any questions regarding eligibility for Membership in Solidarity Healthshare. 
  • Finally, please consult with your legal and tax advisors as necessary on these issues.
